The first way to make money with ChatGPT is building Custom GPTs.

You can use ChatGPT for free to access this feature.

Go to the explore section inside ChatGPT and click on the GPT section.

This is like an app store for GPTs.

Click “My GPTs” and then click “Create” to start building.

Custom GPTs help you automate different processes you use day-to-day.

For example, if you create Twitter posts and want to automate that, you can do it inside the GPT that you create.

You can also create blog posts.

Some people generate traffic from blog posts.

I post blogs with every single video that I create.

When those blogs rank on Google, they send traffic to my funnels.

My funnels make money.

Here’s how to set up your ChatGPT money making system.

Click “Create” and name your Custom GPT something like “Blog Post Money Maker.”

You don’t even need to put a description.

Inside the instructions, define exactly what you want it to do.

Write something like: “Write Alex Hormozi style blogs based on the transcript I give you. Make it funnel traffic to my funnels. Third grade language. Write it first person as Julian Goldie.”

Then paste your funnel link directly in the instructions.

That’s how quick and easy it is to start creating your own ChatGPT money making tool.

Once you’ve given it the instructions and the name, you’ve told it the funnel you want to send traffic to.

Click save and choose your sharing option.

If you don’t want to share it with the world, click “Only me.”

If you want to share it with your team, click “Anyone with link.”

If you want to share it with the whole world, send it to the GPT store.

Publishing Your ChatGPT Money Making Tool to the Store

Here’s where ChatGPT money making gets powerful.

When you create Custom GPTs, you can share them with the world.

If you put it on the GPT store, people can find it when they’re searching.

My video transcript to SOP creator has 1,000 uses.

You can see it has 4.3 stars and 1,000 conversations.

Here’s the cool thing about this ChatGPT money making method.

If you click on chat and ask it to create an SOP for social media posts, guess what it does in the first line?

It tells people to get a free SEO strategy session.

People click it and it funnels traffic to my money pages.

That’s my SEO agency page.

I even track the UTM so I can see it says UTM equals GPT.

Whenever someone books, I can track that they came from ChatGPT.

The thing to note here is if you share your Custom GPT with the world, you can ask it to link to your funnels in each response.

Then you funnel free traffic from Custom GPTs directly to your money pages.

Inside the instructions, I put my funnel links at the top.

That’s basically how you can do ChatGPT money making this way.

When people actually use my Custom GPT, there’s a link to my website and a link to my LinkedIn.

Both of these pages make me money as well.

When people click on my website, they might book a call or become a lead and get my free book.

On LinkedIn, I get tons of DMs.

I had 17 DMs in there already.

When people click on this, it’s basically a sales page.

I’m funneling traffic from ChatGPT in many different ways.

My Custom GPT has links to my website and LinkedIn.

I can add funnel links in each response and it’s so easy to implement.

Content Automation for ChatGPT Money Making

The second ChatGPT money making method is automating content creation.

I have an automated tool that creates content for me.

It generates content based on my YouTube videos.

For example, my team or I want to create a blog post based on a video.

I can go to my Custom GPT and say “create a blog based on this.”

Then I paste the YouTube transcript.

I hit enter or press Command + Enter on ChatGPT to quickly get an answer.

ChatGPT writes the title.

For example, it wrote “Google’s Notebook LM Update Is Insane Nobody’s Talking About It.”

That’s a nice blog title.

It creates a nice introduction and formats the content nicely.

There are a few things I would change on the prompt based on feedback.

The main thing you want to do here is test it, check it works, and check it’s optimized to your preferences.

Quality Control Your ChatGPT Money Making Content

This is critical for ChatGPT money making with content.

Quick disclaimer: This does require effort, practice, and reps.

I just want to be transparent with you and tell you what actually works.

You need to test your prompts and make sure they work correctly.

Check the content is optimized to your preferences.

If there are any changes to make, you can adjust the instructions.

Never just copy and paste without quality control.

Read through the blog post that ChatGPT creates.

Make sure it sounds like you and flows naturally.

Check that your funnel links are placed correctly.

Verify the content is formatted properly.

You can literally just copy and paste that, quality control it, and you’re good to go.

Service-Based ChatGPT Money Making With Thumbnails

The third ChatGPT money making method is selling YouTube thumbnail services.

I don’t normally talk about this, but I want to show you.

It’s quite an interesting way that I think is working really well.

Personally, I happily pay anywhere between $20 to $60 per thumbnail on YouTube.

All of these thumbnails on my channel, sometimes we automate them with AI.

But honestly, I find it quicker just to hire a thumbnail editor to do it for me.

I personally pay for this service, so I know it’s going to make money.

If you want to sell this as a service, list your services on Fiverr.

Go to Fiverr, go to graphic design, and type in “thumbnail.”

You can see people selling thumbnails for $10, $15, $50, $80.

These people have hundreds of sales.

That person has 1,000 sales.

It is possible to sell thumbnails for ChatGPT money making.

You can create gigs on Fiverr selling thumbnail design.

The ChatGPT Money Making Process for Thumbnails

Here’s how I would personally do it if I was going to sell that as a service.

Screenshot a thumbnail that you like, one or two thumbnails.

Take the image from the screenshot.

Go into ChatGPT and upload the image.

You’re not going to copy thumbnails, but you use these styles.

Say something like “create this but change it to ChatGPT.”

ChatGPT will generate an image for you.

It might go against ChatGPT’s policies, but it seems to be generating.

You might want to tell it to do landscape dimensions.

ChatGPT is going to generate an image that you can come back to later and create thumbnails with.

I’ve actually created a lot of thumbnails in the past using ChatGPT.

The reason I don’t do it anymore is I don’t have time.

As an entrepreneur you have to delegate that stuff.

If I come across a really good thumbnail designer, we’ll just hire them because they get us clicks.

Why Thumbnails Work for ChatGPT Money Making

The reason that people pay top money for a thumbnail if you’re selling it as a service is simple.

If a video has like an 11% or 12% click-through rate versus like a 7% or 6% click-through rate, the amount of views that video with the higher CTR will get is sometimes 2x, 3x, 5x.

Not just because of the CTR itself which helps, but also because YouTube figures out people click on this video, it’s got a really high CTR.

YouTube pushes it to more people because with the same amount of attention, they get more people watching YouTube and staying on YouTube.

That means YouTube makes more ad revenue.

That’s basically how YouTube works.

When we started, we didn’t used to have nice thumbnails probably about a year ago.

When we started really learning the process and mastering YouTube thumbnails, our views went way up.

Last year in 2024 we had 5.2 million views on YouTube.

If you have a look at 2025, we actually got 22 million views and the year is far from over.

We still got two and a half months left.

We pretty much 4x or 5x’d in the space of 12 months.

If you can create really nice thumbnails, then you can sell those for ChatGPT money making.

You can see we automated this with one click using ChatGPT.

I used to type in prompts like “include plenty of space around the text icon so nothing is cut off. Give it room to breathe. Add plenty of space on margins.”

You can see how easy it is to quickly switch from that thumbnail to a new thumbnail.

It even included the ChatGPT logo, changed the text, but used the same style.

That was incredibly easy.

I know for a fact that people do this with my YouTube thumbnails because I’ve seen it all the time.

They’re going to hire you again.
